A List of the Best 2011 Family-Approved Movies on DVD and Blu-Ray

The following is a list of all the best family-approved movies that came out on DVD or Blu-ray in 2011:

#1 – Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 (89/100)

I was happy to see this one come out on top.  After all these years this franchise is still at the top and better than ever.

#2 – Tangled (85/100)

Our whole family likes this movie.  You can watch it over and over and not get tired of it.  Very clever and well-done.

#3 – The Help (80/100)

It’s good to see a film like this near the top.

#4 – Winnie the Pooh (79/100)

I was really surprised that this one was so high up.

#5 – Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 (79/100)

This was very well done and more magical, I thought.  More of the feel of some of the earlier Harry Potter movies.

#6 – Kung Fu Panda 2 (78/100)

Another surprise that it was so high up but it has has a compelling storyline, good animation and ranks higher than the first one.

#7 – The Gruffalo  (78/100)

#8 – 17 Miracles (77/100)

#9 – Rise of the Planet of the Apes (77/100)

#10 – Dolphin Tale (77/100)

#11 – Jane Eyre (76/100)

#12 – Rio (75/100)

My children and I like this movie a lot.

#13 – Rango (75/100)

#14 – Secretariat (75/100)

#15 – Soul Surfer 74/100)

#16 – Megamind (72/100)

#17 – Captain America: The First Avenger (72/100)

#18  – Thor (72/100)
