Quite possibly a perfect movie, 10.15.2012

There are very few movies ever created that I would consider "perfect." This version of Pride and Prejudice is one of them. Somehow, the director was able to weave an enormous amount of dialogue and storytelling into a two hour movie. If you've ever watched the 5 hour BBC version, this movie was able to encapsulate almost the entire story in less than half the time. This is the perfect Jane Austen movie, with high production values and great acting. Most who compare this to the BBC version claim that Colin Firth was the perfect Mr. Darcy. Yes, you are absolutely right, but the other pluses of this movie more than make up for that. I actually prefer this to the BBC version (gasp). The ending is not completely faithful to the original story, but it does not take away from the story.
